Destinations Week 2

The Prayer of Direction

Proverbs 27:12

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple

keep going and pay the penalty.

It’s better to choose your direction while you have good choices.

Two areas to be particularly aware of:

  • Relationships
  • Finances

Four Words About Making Hard Choices

  1. Action : You have to do something
  2. Sacrifice: You have to be willing to give up something
  3. Humility: Is you future worthy of current embarrassment?
  4. Relief: No more “what if” worries.

The Prayer of Direction:

Dear Lord,

Help us to see trouble coming long before it gets here.

Give us the wisdom to know what to do.

And give us the courage to do it.
