Breakfast with Jesus

 John 21:1-14— This chapter describes the appearance of Jesus to  His disciples by the Sea of Galilee following  His resurrection.  The disciples fished all night and caught nothing.  Jesus tells them to throw their net on the right side of the boat and when they did, they were unable to haul the net in because there was a large number of fish. Jesus then prepares breakfast for them and extends forgiveness to Peter after Peter’s denial.

 Application:

• #1: We all have fish. It’s not about the fish!
• #2: We all have an invitation to breakfast. There’s room at the table for you. Being a sinner does not disqualify you from following Jesus.  It is a prerequisite.
• #3: We all need strength for our next fishing trip. Are you overdue for a fireside chat with Jesus?  Peter needed a do-over.  He received the forgiveness Jesus extended to him and so should we.

There is a place at the table for you and me.
