Three Life-Changing Choices
Text: Ecclesiastes 11:9—You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
Life is all about choices. Make each day a great day...it’s your choice. Choices began at the beginning when God chose six days to create from nothing the heavens and the earth. Man can re-create but only God can create.
God gave man the gift of choice. He did not want robots. How can you truly love without having a choice? They say that the most important choices are made between the ages of 18-30. Some choices cannot be reversed. We need to choose carefully.
It was Adam’s choice that made all of us sinful beings but the second Adam made the choice to reverse the consequences of the first Adam by dying on the cross for our sins. It is a divine exchange at the cross whereby we exchange sinfulness for His righteousness.
Three Life-Changing Choices:
- Make Jesus the priority in your life. Don’t follow the crowd. It may be the easy way but not God’s way.
- Choose carefully what you think or speak. What we think matters. We can have the mind of Christ. Words have power.
- Choose to depend upon God for your future. Never leave God out of the equation.
The most important choice to be made is whether to say “Yes” or “No” to Jesus. Romans 10:9: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
