Waiting on God
Series: Been There
Text: John 2:3-4 NLT The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told Him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.”
While you’re waiting, God is working!
#1: Remember there is a natural delay between planting and harvesting. Isaiah 64:4 NLT For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like You, Who works for those who wait for Him!
#2: Remember there is an unseen battle that is going on. Daniel 10:11-13 Daniel was told by the angel that his prayer request was heard the first day he prayed but the angel was blocked by the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. The archangel Michael came to help him.
#3: Remember sometimes God does something in you before He does something through you. Luke 2:41 NLT Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.
#4: Remember you are not alone.
#5 Remember that God always keeps His promises. John 12:23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.”
Just because God feels silent, doesn’t mean He’s absent.
Write down the lesson you are learning
Apply truths as you learn them. (Don’t put life on hold)
Imitate the habits of people with strong faith.
Trust God instead of panicking. Lean back on God.
1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
