‘The Strength of the Holy Spirit’
Does the Bible mention the Trinity?
Point 1: The plurality of God is seen from the beginning of the Bible. Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” In this verse, God is translated from the word Elohim, which is a plural word.
Point 2: Jesus claimed to be God. John 10:30-31 “I and the Father are one.” Again His Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone Him.
Point 3: The Holy Spirit is described as God. Acts 5:3-4 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit…You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
Point 4: Many verses talk about all three. John 14:16-17 “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”
Are there differences in what Father, Son, and Spirit do? The Father is the leader of equals. Jesus submitted to the Father and died on the cross for our salvation. The Holy Spirit has been sent to indwell the believer and give power to live the Christian life.
Understanding the Concept of Convergent Space (the place where heaven and earth collide/connect)
Point 1: The first convergent space was the Tabernacle and the temple. The Holy of Holiest was the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
Point 2: When Jesus died, the veil of the Holy of Holies was torn. It was a sign that we can now approach God.
Point 3: The new convergent space is us. The Holy Spirit dwells in us. We are the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6:19.
