Wonderful Words of Life
Proverbs 13:2 “From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things…” What kind of fruit are we planting with our lips?
Deuteronomy 6:7: Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road when you lie down, and when you get up.
Four phrases to plant in your children’s life
I love you! Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” There are 310 occasions in the Bible where God tells His people how much He loves them.
I hear you! Psalm 17:6-7 I call on You, my God, for You will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of Your great love You Who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes.
I believe in you. In Matthew 16:15-17 Jesus reinstates Peter and encourages him to feed His sheep. We, too, should be encouragers and especially to our children.
I pray for you. In chapter 17 of John, Jesus prayed for His disciples. 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 is Paul’s prayer for that church: ”With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” A great prayer to pray for our children.
