Christmas Tree Christian
What is a Christmas Tree Christian? 

We can look at the Christmas tree and see what a Christmas Tree Christian looks like.

1.       A Christmas Tree Christian points up to God…just as the Christmas Tree points upward.  Psalm 115:1: “Not to us, Lord, not to us  but to Your name be the glory,  because of Your love and faithfulness.”
2.       A Christmas Tree Christian reaches out…just as the branches of a Christmas Tree. Philippians 2:3:  “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” The goal of the Christmas Tree Christian is to show love, bring joy and serve others.
3.        A Christian Tree Christian shines the light…just as a Christmas Tree has shining lights. Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others,  that they may see your good deeds  and glorify your Father in heaven.”
4.       The foundation of a Christmas Tree Christian is the cross…just as the Christmas Tree has a foundation to hold it up. 1 Corinthians 1:18: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
