3 Keys to Being A Great Mom… Dad...Grandparent etc.
For Such a Time as This
Esther 5:4 “...And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Luke 1:28-38 Story of the Angel Gabriel’s visit with Mary announcing that she would become the mother of the Messiah. Verse 38: “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
Both Esther and Mary wondered if they were prepared for God’s purpose in their life. Did they have the courage and the skills for the task ahead? We often feel the same way. How can we fulfill our calling? Here are some keys to unlock our potential:
- Point 1: The Key of Submitting to God’s Lead. Psalm 37:23-24 “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Often we put our Christian life on cruise control, thinking we got it. Instead, we should listen to God’s voice and walk in obedience to His Word.
- Point 2: The Key of Not Being Perfect. 2 Corinthians 12:9 God told Paul… ”My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” We see in Scripture that neither Esther nor Mary were perfect. Mary lost track of Jesus when he was 12 and was on the road home before she realized he was missing.
- Point 3: The Key of Never Giving Up. Ephesians 6:8 “..always keep on praying.” Keep praying and keep your mom's card. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “...pray continually…”
