Three Building Blocks of Faith
 

Hebrews 11:6  “…without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Our reality is based on time, space, and matter but God is outside of these things and is the Creator of them.

Our text gives us three building blocks of faith:

Point 1: God exists.    Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Point 2: God rewards. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Point 3: God is searchable. Ephesians 1:4-8a “..For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us.”

The Bible tells the story of God’s people from creation, through Jesus and the beginning of the church. Ephesians 1:8b-10 “With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
