Rock & Roll (The Rock we need to roll as a Christian)
Jesus is KING!
Psalm 8:4-6
Throughout Scripture Jesus is referred to as King. Isaiah, Daniel, John the Baptist, Jesus Himself, Paul, and in the book of Revelation are some of the places we found Jesus called King.
What kind of King is Jesus?
He is worthy of the title King. Matthew 28:16-18: Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Ephesians 1:20-21: “…he (God) raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
He is the King to be obeyed. He is to have the final say. Our answer should always be “Yes, Lord!” Matthew 28:19-20: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
His kingdom is not meant to be a kingdom of one. He has promised to take care of us and commanded us to lift each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…”
Revelation 19:16: On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.
