Three lessons from this passage of Scripture:
1. Opportunity follows obedience. Peter obeyed God and shared the Gospel with
Gentiles. We, too, should be obedient to God. God doesn’t give us the complete
plan He has for us but directs us step-by-step. Sometimes we have more faith in
our GPS than we do our God.
2. Fear stops us from being obedient to God. Fear is a self-imposed prison that
keeps us from becoming what God wants us to be. The weapons to overcome fear
are faith and love.
3. Be careful treating things common that God has declared uncommon.
Some of these things may be our salvation, the Word of God, prayer, church
attendance, worship and other people.
Remember to look at others as God does.
