¨ How Much Does God Love Us?

It started in the Garden of Eden with Adam & Eve where they had a personal relationship with God.  Then sin came into the world and the relationship was broken.

God had a plan to restore the relationship with man.  There had to be a sacrifice to pay the penalty for sin. It began with the sacrifice of animals, a foreshadowing of what Jesus would do.

The story of Abraham taking his son Isaac to be sacrificed on Mount Moriah pointed to Calvary where God the Father would offer His Son to pay the ultimate price, once for all.  This event occurred 1500 years before the cross on the same mountain that Jesus Christ would offer Himself up in our place to pay for sin.

 ¨ How Much Does God Love Us?

History shows God’s love as He provided salvation on the cross.  Jesus endured it all for us: 39 lashes, a crown of thorns, 6 hours on the cross and separation from God as our sin was placed on Him.  Supernatural events happened:  3 hours of darkness at noon, earthquakes, graves opening with people coming out of the graves and the curtain of the temple being torn from top to bottom, an indication we do longer have to be separated from God.

 ¨ How Much Does God Love Us?

He gave His Son as a sacrifice so that our relationship with Him may be restored and we receive eternal life.  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
