Comeback: Now What?
Nehemiah 2
It’s time for your comeback! When our plans fail, God’s don’t.
God knows the solution. Jesus is a dream restorer.
Your comeback begins. It’s time for your comeback with Him.
He will meet you where you are.
It’s never too late. You are never too far.
What kind of comeback were you hoping for?
God isn’t finished with you yet!
Nehemiah wanted to make a comeback…he was passionate to see the walls of Jerusalem rebuilt. He spent four months praying and fasting before he approached the king. Before he made his request to the king, he prayed again… although it was a short prayer. He gives us an example to follow:
Seek God faithfully..and keep on seeking. Nothing is too big for God’s power. Nothing is too small for God’s heart. If prayer is not necessary to accomplish something, it is not worth doing.
Define vision clearly. Often the issue is not a lack of caring but a lack of clarity…clarity of what God wants us to do. Nehemiah took one sentence to address the king with his request. He knew exactly what his vision was.
Make a plan contingency. It is more likely a plan will be successful where there is a plan in place. We must do our part and allow God to do His part.
When we start doing God’s will in our life, suddenly we will inspire other people to do what God wants them to do. John Wesley said, “Light yourself on fire with passion and people will come for miles to watch you burn.”
